Local Bisbee artist Sandy Wilson has a partiality
for watercolors, particularly when doing floral
and plant subjects. "Watercolors lend
themselves to the softness and subtlety of
the delicate shades in flowers and leaves," In
floral pieces she often includes new buds, full
blooming flowers and fading ones to reveal
the delicate, fleeting quality of their existence.
Sandy also does "Bisbee-scapes" which
capture the mood and atmosphere of this little
town nestled in the Mule Mountains of southern
Arizona. These watercolors show the range of
color values which can be achieved in the
